Miracle#1
REBEKAH!!!!! She's an investigator in
Farmington Ward. I've been privileged to teach her. She wants to be
baptized. So we're teaching her. and We'll have taught her all the
lessons in two weeks. She'll be interviewed this weekend and baptized
next weekend! I'm getting permission to go to Farmington to see her
baptism!! I'm so excited! She really just glows with the spirit. She was
so ready. In a lesson on tithing we talked about how paying tithing is a
sign of faith and if you pay you'll stay active in the Lord's church.
Sis. Peterson committed her to pay tithing and fast offerings after
she's baptized. She said yes. Then I turned to her and asked her if
she'd commit to pay for the rest of her life. She looked at me like I
was crazy... then said "of course!! I'm not doing all this work just to
go less active!!" HAHA! I love her!! It really shows how when we join
the church we need to have the right motives. Did we join for a boy? a
girl? Did we join because we liked the missionaries? Were we pressured
into it? Were we guilted into it? Did we want to be actively
participating in the Lord's Church?! I hope the last one. That's what I
aim for when teaching and serving.
Miracle#2
I milked a cow. On a dairy farm.
yep. me. I did it. We do service for this dairy farm in Farmington. I
mucked out the stalls and the nasty poop. I fed the little calves. And I
gathered eggs. We had a farm dinner of grilled corn on the cob,
hamburgers, tomatoes, cucumbers, cheese, potatoes, spice cake and jello.
All home grown except the spice cake and jello. !!!!! Holy Cow:) I love
that kind of work. It's so fun!!!!!!!!!
Miracle#3
Went to a harvest festival for
the Newport branch. Old fashioned cook out food. The best part was one
of the members from a different ward came up to me with his nephew that
just got out of jail, and said, "my nephew wants to be baptized."
WHAT?!?! Sweet!!!!! That's awesome. "Okay, we'll help you prepare for
that!" HAHa, best ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
