Lisa

I was Lisa for a day. At Disney you must wear a nametag at all times. I forgot mine at home and had to borrow a different one. So for a day I was Lisa from Leicester, England. I don't have an English accent. AND for some reason I was not talented enough that day to mimic one. I have a small southern drawl instead. I had almost every guest I talked to ask why I didn't have an accent, or how I can hide my accent so well. I ended up fibbing. (part of my job description is preserving the magic in anyway possible, including small fibs.) One explanation is I had been in the states to long and wanted to blend in. Another explanation is that I moved here when I was a baby and grew up in Texas. Another, is that I try to do different accents everyday and today I'm American. Either way, they had the magic preserved :) I'm just a funny girl without an accent, not a forgetful girl with the wrong nametag.

Being from England at this time was a bit scary because it was the day the USA played England in the World Cup. I had to be supportive of England for the guests, and secretly cheer on the USA in the breakroom. Thankfully me being a traitor didn't impact the USA's ability to win and we advanced!
