Surgery

I just had surgery... this past Wednesday. This is my ankle before I had the surgery:

It's a bit swollen. The doctor diagnosed my ankle as having loose ligaments. This happens from being too flexible, repeatedly rolling your ankle, or repeatedly spraining your ankle. In my case I had all of the above.

During the surgery the doctor just tightened two of my ligaments. He made a crescent moon incision and went on in to make me better. This is my ankle after my surgery was completed:

The doctor gave my parents a run down after the surgery telling them what went on and how my ankle looked during surgery. Basically my ankle was in really bad shape. The ligament was more thin than the he had thought. And was evidence that I had sprained my ankle a lot. He could dislocate my ankle by just touching it... DANG!!

Here's my ankle with the ice pack on it:

And my cute little toes:)

Now I'm on my way to recovery!!!

Pretty soon I'll be running, jumping, leaping, bounding, racing, and hopping, and skipping, and anything else I want!

Ouch!

Good luck with it. If you end up serving a mission you're going to be pretty happy you got this surgery now :)
