Teaching 9 year-olds

This week was interesting for sure. We had some great lessons! One was with Cheyanne and Olivia. Both are nine years old and have an amazing family. The mom's been struggling coming to church, and it seems like we always have to reschedule or cancel our appointments with them! They are super sweet girls! Their parents are baptized members, but the girls  haven't been baptized yet. They want to be baptized so bad! So we're teaching them some super fun lessons. We did the Plan of Salvation and had the little pictures out on the table upside down. Then we had to use the index of the Book of Mormon to find scriptures about the different parts of the plan. So they had to remember what the part of the plan was, then find a scripture about it in the Book of Mormon. Both girls got super competitive, and were amazing at looking up scriptures. They found scriptures I hadn't even thought of! Then the Mom got in on it too!!!! She doesn't really join us much, but has started sitting in with us, and now participating more and more!!! Oh I love their family so much, it's great. The next lesson might involve cookies and ice cream...

I love it when those that are less-active come to church. It's so nice to see them! There is a family we've been trying to see and finally got an appointment with them! AND then they came to church this Sunday! Wahoo! Love it!
