Learning to Tat

Things that have happened this past week... and more details...
So, the bad man that was next door to us... Our actual neighbor that lives there was letting one of his friends stay at his place. Well this friend was couch surfing because he couldn't get a permanent residence because he's wanted by the law. He is a drug dealer, and the drug dealers in this area are dangerous. They are vicious towards those that don't do what they want them to do. Corporal Tucker has been trying to find him and when he asked us about our neighbors we knew them of course. In fact, we had offered them a DVD, Finding Faith in Christ, for Christmas. (Which they had watched and enjoyed.) So, we could describe their features and such. That was the guy he wanted. Corporal Tucker asked us to call him as soon as they got home. Well we aren't at our apartment much, and let him know that, but agreed we'd be the first to call if we noticed them come home. The next night we came home to a flash of color from the police vehicles in our parking area. We drove by real slow and saw them put a man in the back of the car. We stayed away till the police were done doing their business and then went home and promptly called our district leader, zone leader, and President Wilkey. We were out within days to a member's home, and have been looking for a new place of residence since.

This week hasn't been as exciting with the law:) Thank goodness. but it has been really cold. We've had good times though. I learned how to Tat, or make lace!! It's really quite easy so far and I know how to make several different chains and loops. Evelyn is teaching us to tat while we teach her the Gospel and help her husband be more friendly.

We still haven't found a new place of residence. but living with the Weekes is really nice. they have such a wonderful home. they are so very nice to us. I even saw them watching the Waltons when we passed through to go upstairs! It reminded me of home:) haha.

What a scary experience! You are brave to tell your parents. :) We had a creepy stalker once on my mission. My mother still doesn't know!
