Q & A

tell me about your week:
Crazy. Putting the apartment together. preparing both areas (our ward is receiving another set of missionaries, Elders) so we got their apartment all ready. Teaching, being grounded because of the storms. They weren't bad, but just a warning that black ice would be everywhere. Drove through a mud road... 2.9 miles worth of it. didn't get stuck! or slide down the mountain we were trying to get up. fun stuff.

your new apartment:
Very cute and quaint. two small bedrooms and a small living room and a smaller kitchen. the fire alarms are super sensitive and go off randomly. especially when we're not cooking or even around fire producing things. It bugs sister Korman:) AND there is steam heat so randomly it'll go off and sounds like someone is banging the pipes and trying to break them, but it's just the steam moving through the water in the pipes. It's an adventure!

transferred or not?
YES. I am leaving Montpelier :( I will be training a new missionary that is still in the airport right now, and I'll be opening a new area to sisters! So It'll be exciting and a huge adventure. As soon as I know the address I'll let you know. AND I got the Valentines box!!! Thank you so much! I got it on Valentines Day, perfect timing.

who you taught this week:
We taught The Welton family:) They are amazing. They took us down to the Joseph Smith Memorial Birthplace. We toured it with them and Br. Welton was like, "Can I go back in and read the testimonies and plaques again?" after we finished the tour:) It was a very powerful experience.
We also saw our Students at Norwich (Matt, Hannah, Ivy, Austin). We had an ice cream and cake party last night with them. It was to say our good byes and share the love.:) and we had way too much cake in our apartment so we had to share or it would've gone bad.
I saw Evelyn, who is teaching us how to tat. She is wonderful. When we left she and I were both in tears. I love her so much. Please continue to pray for her husband's heart to be softened! The gospel will help her so much, and her husband just needs to give the okay for her to be baptized, then get baptized himself.

eat any good food lately?
Sister Bush is amazing. she made me some really good brownies. I had been craving them. And sister Smith made enchiladas. They were the closest thing to mom's cooking I've had since I've been out here. I was in heaven. She even sent the leftovers home with us. I love when that happens. We had a ward potluck and missionary display this last friday. There was some good classic new england food there. And the display is exclusive to New England and we got it for the weekend! It was pretty awesome. It's a display of the questions and answers on Mormonism101:FAQS on the mormon news room. So it's reaching out and clarifying the rumors and the mistaken or distorted doctrine that has been publicized by others.
