Less-Actives Activity

We found an apartment this past week and will move in this week. I'm super excited. The sisters in the ward are really stepping up and wanting to help out more with the missionary work! And we'll live next to subway so we can stay healthy:) haha. One of our less-actives owns it. So we'll be working on re-activating him. We haven't made contact with the deaf community yet :( Hopefully it will work out sooner rather than later!

Several of our Less-Actives are coming to church now! they just need LOVE! really that's all they need. As we've taught them with the Love of God, they have responded so well. They are sooo much more willing to follow Christ again. They need to have their grievances heard about how they were offended, so we listen, then teach the doctrine of Christ. They have their hearts softened and are returning!!!!!!

Brother Cerutti has been coming to church for about a month now! His wife will be baptized on February 16th, 2013. He rudely turned us away the first time we contacted him and his wife. Now he wants to be active again. He said, "God sent the missionaries to me to help me out, and I turned them away... I prayed you'd come back." And we did. Now they are preparing for a baptism and then a sealing in the Temple.

Brother Corsney sent me to go see his wife when I first got to Montpelier. She'd been baptized and promptly offended and left within two months or so. She said she'd never be at church again, ever. This past Sunday was her third time at Sacrament meeting in a row, and her first time to stay for the rest of the meetings! She just needed love. They have a date to be sealed in the Temple, July 16th 2013, their 25th wedding anniversary.

Brother Schick said we'd see him at church only if there wasn't anything else booked that day, and he got up on time. For weeks we'd try and work with him to come, tons of invitations to church. Finally, we booked his Sunday morning for him- Church. Called and woke him up with our message on the answering machine. Yesterday, he came for the first time in years. He took notes and was visibly touched by the spirit. He'll be back again. It was a good Sunday. I think he just needed to know he was needed at church. That someone cared.

We're preparing the area nicely for the other set of missionaries that will be coming in. It will be good! It has had its own special dose of stress for us, but we've been handling it well, for the most part.
