One of the blessings of being out in the boonies is fresh from under the chicken eggs in the morning! and straight from the tree maple syrup. ya, be jealous. haha The other day we passed a deer farm as we were going tracting. Really really cool. This past week we had our first snow and it was 8 inches. The locals say it's nothing and I'm going holy cow! that's nothing?!?!?! Well, they're expecting several feet during anyone of their wintry storms.
This past week we were given pies by the Young Women in the branch. 6 apple pies. And given the charge to give them to our investigators and less-actives we're teaching. It took about 1 1/2 hours to figure out who to give them to... and then we started driving and the spirit of the Lord told us we were going to the wrong house. So we stopped and asked in prayer who really needed the pies. We went to an investigator that has been avoiding us, and knocked on the door. Nancy answered. She is a woman that had a date for baptism and got cold feet. She was then offended by someone and has been trying to worship God on her own. She warmly invited us in and began telling us how God has been telling her what path she needs to be on, and how she can see the hand of God in her life. Then she told us how she wanted to be baptized and how she should be baptized right then in our tank:) !!!! We were so taken aback. She has been prepared by Christ to be baptized. We are actually going to see and teach her tonight. !! We took the rest of the pies to other people we were teaching and wanting to begin teaching and they were very gracious. :)
My companion is amazing! Sister Bond is super fun and crazy:) She has a deep love for Christ, and is teaching and training me well.
