Not much time today, but I'll answer some questions y'all asked me:
Where is Sis Bond from?
She's in a military family. She was born in Germany, and her family's from Ohio, her parents and siblings now live in Dayton Ohio:) She love sharks, pirates, playing the piano and guitar. She's actually gonna teach me how to play piano if I teach her ASL. :) She's very in tune with the spirit which has kept us out of trouble. And she is very loving to everyone. She also talks in her sleep so we have some fun times recounting dreams and me waking up scared:)
Also, tell us about your apartment and your daily happenings--what is a typical day like for you?
Super busy, up at 6:20 and excersizing by 6:30 (today we forgot to set our alarm and slept in till 6:38 oops) we take turns in the shower and are ready for the day by 8. we do personal study till 9 and companion study till 11am(usually it's only till 10 but i'm new so we have an extra hour for training). lunch then out the door by noon. Then we have teaching appts and go knock on doors. Wed we do service at a senior center, and Sat we get to go to the library to search mormon.org. We have dinner whenever we can fit it in and are home by 9 or 9:30. it depends if we have a later appt or not. then we sleep at 10:30.
Do you always eat dinner at a members house or just sometimes?
Since being out I've only eaten at 4 member's homes. But we gave a guilt trip to the ward council yesterday because it's beginning to interfere with our teaching, trying to figure out how to feed ourselves and such. so we got like 4 or 5 dinner invitations that day:) The meals I have eaten at member's homes are pretty good food. Sister bond and I have the taste for spicier food so when we cook we had hot sauce and salsa and such for flavor:)
Are you getting enough exercise/eating well?
You would be proud of me we eat enough and sister bond is a vegetarian so we eat some pretty healthy meals together. Lately, because it's so cold we just end up stretching and doing some yoga inside.
What time does the sun come up? What time does it set?
The sun is up at six in the morning, but down by four in the afternoon.
Do you always have a car or do you share it with other missionaries?
We always have a car because our area is soooooo large. We do have a restriction on how many miles we can drive so sometimes we can't use the car and have to ask the members to take us places. Usually we have enough miles though.
How big is your area?
The area is huge. It's the 7 or 8th largest in the mission. It borders Lake Winnipasakee (from what about bob?) goes as far south as Danbury and Bristol and Meredith, but at far north as Lincoln and Waterville Valley. We live in Plymouth, which is in the center of it.
Just the one branch?
It is just one branch but maybe only 75 or so people show up to church. We're working on it. Pray for the Macphersons!! Bro. Macpherson only has to give up smoking and come back to church. Then he can use his preisthood again! Lots and lots of less actives.
Love you! Sister Merrell
