We Found Shawn!

Miracle of this week: We found Shawn! Elder Sommerfeldt kept telling us to go see this couple. We never could get ahold of them or be able to stop by for about a month because of our circumstances. Then (drum roll please...) we had enough miles and energy to stop by to see him and his wife to see if they'd be interested in learning from us. Well, he was very interested and wanted us to come back the next week. Then we had to re-schedule because of timing issues. Then he had to re-schedule because of health. BUT we finally saw him this week! He is really interested in learning what we believe as Mormons and wants to know what makes the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints different from any other christian faith. He's really a wonderful man and we get to teach him now.

Hard time: Sister Bond is not going to be with me much longer :( She is done with her mission in two weeks! yikes! I don't know if I can get along with out her.

Funny story: It snowed. like a whole foot of white powdery nastiness from the heavens. I think it's a joke, it's March. really snow in March?!?! Well. hmpht. I had gotten used to not having snow on the ground and having the glorious green grass all around. God has a sense of humor.

Really cool lesson: We had a lesson with a less active. At the Bishop's home. It lasted 3 hours!!!!!!!! YIKES! Way too long. The lesson was super scattered but the spirit was so strong. I"m sure that's what was supposed to happen because afterwards the less active looked me in the eye and told me that he was really trying to learn and wanted to change and come back to church. That's pretty cool. The Bishop is good friends with him and made it such a comfortable setting that everyone there was able to benefit from the spirit.
